Helping IT projects bloom

Website - where do I start?

Today, an IT system is usually indispensable so that products or services reach customers, regardless of whether it is an app, an interactive website or a customer portal. A user-friendly website is essential for successful companies. But where should you start developing online services if the idea of what the application should ultimately achieve is only vague?

I have a lot of experience, especially in this phase. A few, well-planned workshops are enough to shed light on the essential initial questions:
Who are the users and how do we learn more about their needs?
Which functions should the applications cover and in which order should they be developed?
What legal and technical aspects need to be taken into account during development?
Do you need interfaces to other systems?

I ask for comprehensive consulting for websites that are tailored precisely to the needs of your target group and guide you step by step through your project.

Basic Terms

What is Usability?

If we can use an application with ease, the usability is good. The prerequisite for this is precise knowledge of the potential users:

What goals and tasks do they have?

Where and when do you want to do this?

What do you need for this? How quickly, easily and effectively do you achieve the desired result?

No matter where you are in your project - I can support you

What is Requirements Engineering?

If the focus of usability is on the needs of the user, requirements engineering (RE) looks at the requirements of everyone involved.
What functions should the system have? And which ones don't? Are interfaces to other IT systems required?
This phase is usually referred to as “project scoping” and is crucial for the success of the project. The requirements engineer also supports the project team in differentiating the system to be developed from its environment.

What is User Experience?

User Experience (UX) goes further than usability. It includes the emotional aspects of using a user interface. It deals with how a user feels before, during and after use. As a UX designer, my job is to ensure that the user experience is pleasant or perhaps even enjoyable

About Me

I'm Ines Weigel and I help my customers develop IT projects that focus on the user experience and business. I have been working in IT for more than 20 years and see myself as a translator between the many people involved in the development of an application.
As a UX designer and requirements engineer, I support my customers in developing a concrete IT project from a rough idea and implementing it in a user-centered manner. As with many things, you don't know where to start when developing an app or portal. I would be happy to accompany you on this path!
